Aswan → Kom Ombo → Edfu → Esna → Luxor → Esna → Edfu → Kom Ombo → Aswan
The route is designed around remaining in Luxor for eclipse day before beginning the southbound return.
Core itinerary · optional experiences can be arranged around your group's schedule
Your Egyptian adventure begins the moment you arrive in Aswan. Step aboard STORIA, settle into your private river retreat, then make the first afternoon your own — with a shot of adrenaline or a slower introduction to the Nile.
Leave the river behind for a private off-road run into the desert, then take the wheel for a quad-bike session across rugged tracks and open terrain as the light turns gold.
Slip away by traditional felucca around Elephantine Island and Aswan’s river isles, watching the last light settle over the water before returning aboard.
As STORIA heads north through Upper Egypt, shape the day around your group’s energy. Get out on the water with a guided kayak, explore the remarkable temples of Kom Ombo and Edfu, or combine time ashore with lunch, a swim and an afternoon on the river.
Get close to the river’s quieter edges by kayak with a local guide, arranged around safe conditions and the yacht’s navigation plan.
Explore Kom Ombo at an unhurried pace, then return to STORIA for a long lunch, pool time and a relaxed afternoon under sail.
Six cabins plus two suites, Nile views, a plunge pool, spa, gym, lounges and three passenger decks beneath 22-metre sails.
Make your way north through Esna towards Luxor, with time for a private temple visit before evening falls. A candlelit dinner aboard sets the tone for tomorrow’s extraordinary celestial event.
Head out beyond Luxor for a private quad-bike ride across desert tracks and the Theban hills, timed to return before the evening programme.
Choose a private, guide-led visit to Luxor’s temples, then enjoy a candlelit evening and dinner back aboard STORIA.
The defining moment of the journey: more than six minutes of totality over Luxor, followed by the Eclipse Gathering: a standout event bringing together key international players from the technology world, alongside founders, investors, innovators and creative leaders. For Seth and his group, this is an opportunity to combine a once-in-a-lifetime natural phenomenon with a genuinely interesting room of people — then carry the conversations into an Egyptian feast, live music and a DJ after-party in a spectacular desert-night setting.

Illustrative mood imagery for the proposed Eclipse Night experience.
After more than six minutes of totality over Luxor, step into the Eclipse Gathering — the social centrepiece of the day and a rare meeting point for key international players in technology, alongside founders, investors, innovators and creative thinkers. Hosted introductions can help turn a remarkable shared experience into meaningful connections for Seth and his group. The evening continues with an Egyptian feast, invited speakers, live entertainment and a DJ after-party beneath the desert sky.

More artists to be announced.
KEEP THE CELEBRATION GOING
Build the evening around both sides of the experience: the wider Eclipse Gathering and its international technology network, then sunset DJ sets on your private STORIA deck, live entertainment and invited speakers. The desert after-party brings the night to life, while STORIA remains your private retreat on the Nile.
For guests keen to move, arrange a short guided early-morning ride or active walk before the day’s heat, returning with plenty of time to prepare for totality. Keep the main part of eclipse day deliberately light.
Enjoy brunch aboard, prepare photography equipment and settle into the planned viewing location. Keep the hours around totality free of competing activities.
After totality, join an exceptional international gathering with key players from technology, founders, investors and creative industries. Hosted introductions, an Egyptian feast, invited speakers, live music and a DJ after-party in the desert make this a defining part of the itinerary. Then return to the privacy of STORIA and your own group on the Nile.
See Luxor from a different perspective, whether from the air at sunrise or on the ground among the monumental sites of the West Bank. Visit Hatshepsut’s Temple, then begin the southbound journey at a pace that suits your group.
Choose a sunrise balloon flight over the West Bank or a guided horseback ride through the rural landscape, subject to weather and operator confirmation.
Visit Hatshepsut’s Temple and selected West Bank sites with a private guide, with time for brunch and a slower return to the yacht.
Travel south through a landscape steeped in history. Explore Edfu and Kom Ombo, or venture further off the usual sightseeing route for a closer look at the sandstone cliffs and ancient quarries of Gebel el-Silsila.
Go ashore for an active guided exploration of the sandstone quarries, cliff paths and rock-cut sites at Gebel el-Silsila, if navigation and access allow.
Visit Edfu with a private guide, then spend the rest of the day on deck, enjoying the river and the comfort of STORIA.
Return to Aswan for the island sanctuary of Philae and a final chance to explore the region. For a more ambitious detour, Abu Simbel can be arranged as a separate excursion. Come back aboard for a farewell dinner on the Nile.
Choose a guided paddle around Aswan’s islands or head inland for a private desert 4x4 and sandboarding experience, subject to local arrangements.
Visit Philae with a private guide, then enjoy a gentle felucca ride or a relaxed Nubian cultural experience before farewell dinner.
After the final excursions, come back to STORIA for the river, the sunset and a farewell dinner aboard — with the option to continue on to Giza or the Red Sea.
Enjoy a final breakfast aboard before private onward transfers, or extend the journey with Cairo, Giza and the great monuments of ancient Egypt.
For guests with a later transfer, arrange a short guided early-morning paddle on the Nile before breakfast and disembarkation.
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast aboard, take in the river one final time and depart by private transfer for the airport or onward extension.
From desert tracks to quiet river passages, each day can be shaped around the level of adventure your group wants.
Rise before dawn for a private flight over the West Bank, Valley of the Kings and Nile Valley. Subject to weather and operating conditions.
An active alternative to a conventional sightseeing transfer, riding through the rural West Bank and desert edge.
Head into the desert beyond Luxor for an exhilarating late-afternoon quad experience, subject to local operating conditions.
Paddle around Aswan's islands and quieter reaches of the river with a private guide and safety equipment.
Leave the river briefly for an off-road desert adventure combining 4x4 access and sandboarding on the dunes.
Discover a colourful Nubian village with a local guide, with time to explore its architecture, traditions and riverside setting.
Explore the West Bank at ground level, riding quiet lanes between farmland, villages and ancient sites, with the Theban hills as a backdrop. A private guide can tailor the route to the group’s pace and temple visits. This is scenic cycling rather than technical mountain biking.
Go ashore at Gebel el-Silsila for a guided walk among dramatic sandstone quarries, rock-cut chapels and ancient quarry marks. This is active hiking and exploration, not a confirmed technical rock-climbing excursion.
Take the quads beyond the sightseeing circuit into the desert and Theban hills, with sunrise or sunset departures for a more adrenaline-led outing.
El Gouna can add a dedicated watersports chapter before or after the Nile
